We recently had a delightful night entertaining the "old people" and feeding them fish caught right off our dock (walleye no less). It was a magnificent feast and really fun to have Steve's sister and brother-in-law here along with their daughter and 2 grandchildren(aren't they adorable) We had the added bonus of having Steve's cousin call and ask us to film a video for Steve's Uncle Wes and Aunt Leats for their 50th wedding anniversary- we said sure come and eat fish and catch a whole bunch of people to put on your video! It was so nice that Steve's sister was here so that she could be a part of it too. We hope that God keeps providing the fish so that we can have another fish fry. We are thankful that He has provided us with such special people!

Fun at the zoo!

Modeling the new swim suits! I was blessed with the opportunity to visit our daughter and her family last week. I am so fortunate to be a grandma to these wonderful children and it was sooo fun to spend time with them. We went to the zoo, swam, played games, read books,went shopping and just spent time having fun, fun, fun!!! One of the may blessings of having children is living long enough to enjoy your children's children. Grandkids truly are one of the treasures of a long life!!! I am looking forward to my next visit already. I am proud of my daughter and her husband for doing a great job of raising and loving their kids in God's grace. Keep running the race-it's worth it!!

God has blessed up with many great people in our lives and this spring we have had the pleasure of visiting some of them in their own homes. We have many more that we hope to see and are thankful for all of you. If you get the chance to visit someone you haven't seen in along time grab it and go. If not, do the next best thing and send them an e-mail or snail mail message!

One tough lady

Our life has been blessed with this lady-Grandma Ardy. Recently she had a stroke(we thank God that it was not a debilatating one) and she has been in a nursing home to help her get the strength back on her right side. She did not lose speech or memory but she did have difficulty walking with her right leg and foot and using her right arm and hand. After 3 weeks of therapy and good care I think she can outdo me on the bike and upper arm machine. We are planning to get her back home this Sunday as she has made remarkable progress due to her determination and stubborn nature(which this time turns out to be a positive instead of a shake your head moment!) and to the healing mercy of Our Father. We thank God for this women and all the prayers of His people for her healing. We ask for your continued prayer as she takes more tests to determine if she can have surgery for her carotid arteries-thanks in advance.
